There are so many things happening in the world of Bana&Bean and I just can’t seem to bring myself to write about just one. Hang in there…its a long list but definitely worth checking out!
Event #1: Pop Up Shop #1
This last weekend I had the pleasure of being a part of the KnitKnit 2nd Anniversary Shenanigans. If you read my last blog you know I was up to my eyeballs in fabric and scrambling to get everything done. The good news is that I made it and with only a little bit of stress. If you missed out on the
Springtime KnitKnit Kits that were made exclusively for the event, I believe she still has some available in her shop, but they definitely won’t be around for long.
This event was to celebrate KnitKnit’s second anniversary. This shop is located in Coeur D’Alene Idaho and is one of very few local yarn shops in this area. Elizabeth, the owner is a total sweetheart and asked myself along with a few others to have a pop up shop at her store to celebrate. The event was a ton of fun and I very much enjoyed getting out in the community and meeting fellow local knitters. Not to mention hearing people say how much they loved my bags and how cute they are totally made my day.
One bonus of the event was that I got to hang out with my bestie, Miss Lydia from Oh!Loops and Sarah from Sera Craft. I’m constantly in awe of the ladies I’m surrounded by and their amazing talent when it comes to dying yarn. If you haven’t checked out their yarns yet…you definitely need to. The color combinations they come up with are stunning.
Event #2: SipN’Knit
Before gong to Coeur D’Alene, I got the pleasure of spending the night on Thursday with some very special and lovely ladies at mine and Lydia’s first Knit Night. It was so much fun after a long week to sit and knit with some fellow knitters and get to know some more local peeps. I’m really looking forward to growing this night and getting more people involved. I absolutely love seeing what everyone is working on. Plus Lydia and I will be offering a punch card that people can get punched for coming to knit nights as well as seeing us at local events. Each fully punched card will be entered for a chance to win an amazing giveaway we will be drawing for in November. Knit Nights will take place on the third Thursday of every month (with a possible second night coming soon) and right now is located at Panera Bread on N. Division in Spokane with the hopes of moving to an outside location once the weather is behaving better. If you’re interested in joining us, check out the SipN’Knit event page on Facebook.
Event #3: Mt. WIP More
This coming Sunday miss Lydia and I will be recording our second KPDR Podcast. This one is called Mt. WIP More and is sure to be a hoot. The podcast will be up on our YouTube channels in the next week or so. Make sure you tune in to see what all we have on the needles!!
Event #4: Pop Up Shop #2
At the end of this month Oh!Loops and Bana&Bean will have their second pop up shop of the year. This time we will be hanging out with the lovely ladies from Blizzard Yarn and Fiber in Vancouver, WA. Right now Lydia and I are in the works of putting together some new kits to take with us plus there will be lots of yummy yarn and super cute bags available to touch, squeeze, caress, and of course purchase. 🙂 We will be at Blizzard Yarn and Fiber (6924 NE Fourth Plain Blvd, Vancouver WA 98661) the afternoon of Friday, May 25th and all day Saturday, May 26th from 10am – 6pm. If you will be in the area, make sure you stop by and say hi and even spend some time and knit with us.
And that my dears takes us through the end of May. There is another pop up shop in the works for the summer, but I don’t know exactly when yet and with Summer coming up fast there will be much more coming on the horizon. Stay Tuned!!
Thanks for taking a few moments out of your day and spending it with me!! Happy Knititng!!!
